COMMERCIAL/MULTI-FAMILY LENDING

 

 

Created in April 2007 to originate, close, and service commercial/multi-family mortgage loans for our investors, our lending philosophy is one of commitment to maximizing the potential value of the mortgages we originate.  Our focus will be on income producing first mortgages and mezzanine loans for apartments, shopping centers, self-storage facilities, office buildings, and industrial buildings.  Our relationships with the investors create the value to the borrower, it is the ability to execute and close transactions that creates the value of service and leads to repeat business.

 

Flexibility in the design of the loan products on a large scale will distinguish us in the commercial mortgage market.  Customizing the terms, rates, maturities, and amortization schedules will allow us to provide multiple lending options for the borrowers.

 

Once originated, the loans can be serviced in-house, based on investor needs.  Our portfolio managers closely monitor the physical assets, ensure timely payment of principal and interest, taxes and insurance, and perform accounting duties to support operational processes.  We manage all loan files and visit each qualifying property regularly to monitor borrower upkeep of the premises.  These responsibilities demand strong communication with our borrowers and investors.

  

  

 

Mark Burton, Vice President, has been active in the commercial real estate field since 1983. He is responsible for evaluating new markets tax credit transactions and developing debt sources for affordable housing transactions. Prior to joining City Real Estate Advisors in 2008, Mr. Burton originated commercial mortgages in the insurance industry and raised debt for real estate developers.  Mr. Burton holds a MBA from Indiana University with an emphasis in real estate finance and a bachelor's in accounting from Indiana University.

Jamie Irwin, Associate, joined City Real Estate Advisors, Inc. (CREA) in November 2006. As a member of the Mortgage Banking Group, Jamie’s focus is on underwriting and servicing commercial loans. Prior to joining CREA, Jamie was a commercial real estate portfolio manager and commercial real estate analyst for 40|86 Mortgage Capital, Inc.  Jamie holds a bachelor of science degree in finance from Indiana University and a MBA from Anderson University.
